You have to start somewhere…

Hi everyone…
My name is Matt and this new blog is dedicated to my most recent toy collecting passion: Disney Pixar Cars!!!
A bit of background…collecting toys all started with Star Wars. Then after selling those off it was Palisades Toys’ Muppets, followed by McFarlane NFL Sportspicks. I sold them and switched to Jakks Pacific’s WWE Classic Superstars line. After those, I stayed quiet for a while, but shortly after the Disney Pixar Cars movie I was hooked. It was an excuse to collecting something again, and this time I could enjoy collecting with my kids. So from that point on it’s been to collect at least 2 of each…one to open (kids) and one to display on “THE WALL”…more to come on that.
A few guidelines for my Cars collecting I must mention:
- I mainly only collect the main line cars…although I do have all the movie moments and a select few 3-packs.
- I have the original desert-back “12″, original desert-back “16″, all the “Supercharged (SC)”, and the numbered World of Cars (WOC) and Race o Rama (ROR) line (See #3 below)
- On the WOC line, I collect from #1 on…however, when a car is produced on both WOC and ROR cards, I only collect the “oldest” car release that character was released on.
This is quite a passion for me. I love taking trips to Walmarts (aka Wally Worlds), Targets, Shopkos, K-Marts/Sears Grands, Walgreens, etc…in hopes to find the latest and greatest.
So, I thought it made sense to start my own blog for the Southeastern Wisconsin collecting area (although I drive all over the state it seems). My intent is to keep collectors as up-to-date as possible on local hot spots for recent finds, upcoming cars, collecting tips, and anything else I can think of. With the help of my iPhone, I can blog on here anywhere and anytime.
So, sit back, relax, and visit frequently. I know there are more WI collectors out there like me…so let’s have fun with this.
